Abstract

Organizations are activities outside of class to develop and hone the interests and talents of students. It is undeniable that there are many benefits when participating in organizations. Students who participate in organizations on campus will have the provision to prepare for career maturity. However, the phenomenon that occurs in activists at the Faculty of Psychology UMS, is just the opposite. This study aims to determine the relationship between Self Efficacy and Parental Support with Career Maturity of Activist in Student Organizations, Faculty of Psychology UMS. The subjects in this study were active undergraduate students of Psychology at UMS who currently participated in Student Organization activities starting from 2018-2021. The study uses purposive sampling as a purposive sampling. This study uses the quantitative correlational method. The data collection method uses three psychological scales, namely the self-efficacy scale, the parental support scale and the career maturity scale. The data analysis method is Multiple Linear Regression. The hypothesis in this study is a relationship between self-efficacy and parental support with career maturity activist in student organization activities of the Faculty of Psychology UMS. The results of this study indicate the relationship between self-efficacy and parental support with career maturity of R = 0,730 sig 0.000, which means that the higher the self-efficacy in individuals, the higher the maturity of their career, as well as the higher the parental support obtained, the higher the maturity of their career, and vice versa. So that the hypothesis in the study is accepted, career maturity can be increased by optimizing self-efficacy and parental support.
