Abstract

Sukoharjo is one of the regencies in Central Java, Indonesia. The district has a variety of cultures, in Sukoharjo itself there are several arts that are almost extinct due to the lack of interest from some groups who play them again. In addition, the reduced interest from the public in the arts, especially for children and adolescents, is due to the lack of understanding of the importance of cultural heritage. In addition, Sukoharjo also has more than 1350 art groups while there are 12 art buildings, this shows inequality with the many cultural festival activities not accompanied by the procurement of cultural park buildings as a means of improving the quality of artists in order to preserve the existence of the artist's identity as one of the roots of art culture, as well as providing space for artists to express themselves through art. According to Wicaksono (2018), cultural parks can be said to be a medium to show art and cultural activities. This is the background of the Sukoharjo Regency Government by designing a cultural park in Sukoharjo Regency to develop an area that is used as a place for community development and expression in the field of traditional and modern culture. The hope is that it can accommodate the activities and creativity of cultural arts actors in Sukoharjo Regency. In addition, it can also be used as a tourist attraction for education and cultural promotion.
