Abstract
The government must utilize internet technology in the digital era to reform a modern, effective, and efficient government system. The Population and Civil Registration Office (Disdukcapil) Surakarta launched an innovation called Dukcapil Dalam Genggaman (DDG). It is an Android mobile application as a digital public service based on internet technology. It is intended for Surakarta residents to facilitate civil administration services. This study discusses the adoption of DDG innovation in Nusukan, Surakarta. The method of this research is descriptive qualitative, which aims to explain the phenomenon in depth through the data obtained. The primary data is obtained from in-depth interviews and observations, and the secondary data is from documentation. Snowball sampling technique used as data collection technique. The researcher uses Miles and Huberman's interactive data analysis technique, which consists of data reduction, data display, and verification. To ensure the validity of the data, the researcher used the source triangulation method. The result of this research is that there are people who accept or reject the DDG innovation. The main factors are differences in individual literacy levels, needs, and lack of optimal socialization
