Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the work environment, burnout, and organizational culture on performance with work motivation as a mediating variable in the regional secretariat employee of Boyolali Regency. The population in this study is the Regional Secretariat of Boyolali Regency with a sample of 100 respondents. In accordance with the theoretical framework that was built, the analytical tool used is Smart PLS. The results of this study, among others. The work environment has no significant positive effect on employee performance. The work environment has no significant positive effect on work motivation. Burnout has a significant positive effect on employee performance. Burnout has no significant positive effect on work motivation. Organizational culture has no significant positive effect on employee performance. Organizational culture has no significant positive effect on work motivation. Work motivation has no significant positive effect on employee performance. Work motivation can mediate positively and significantly between the work environment on employee performance. Work motivation can mediate positively significantly between burnout on employee performance. Work motivation cannot mediate negatively and significantly between organizational culture and employee performance. The limitation of this research is the lack of literature review related to work motivation as a mediating variable. Further researchers are expected to be able to use other variables such as mental psychology or adaptation to the work environment which will add to the varied research results and determine its effect on employee performance mediated by organizational culture.
