Abstract
Water treatment was a series of long processes carried out by workers at water treatment unit PERUMDA Air Minum Grobogan regency within 24 hours. The work was carried out by requiring physical humans as a source of supporting energy. The heaviness of the physical burden resulted in fatigue so that it could reduce the work performance of the works. The purpose of this research aimed to determine the relationship between physical workload with fatigue at water treatment unit PERUMDA Air Minum Grobogan regency. This study used an analytic observational research with a cross sectional study approach. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with a total sample 24 workers. And the statistical test used in this research was Rank Spearman. The result showed that there was a relation between physical workload with fatigue at water treatment unit PERUMDA Air Minum Grobogan regency with a p-value 0,023<0,05 and a correlation coefficient (r) was 0,042, which meant it had a moderate relation and a positive direction of the relationship. We found that the heavier of the physical workload received by the workers, the heavier the level of the fatigue experienced. Therefore, it was necessary to carry out further control by the company so that it could overcome the fatigue problem experienced by workers such as providing adequate rest time, as well as dividing work shifts into 3 shiftts. Such as morning shift, afternoon shift, and night shift. And the last was routinely carrying out regular health check for workers.
