Abstract

Introduction: The prevalence of anemia in the age group 15-24 years and 25-34 years has increased has 2018 compared to 2013 by 11,8%. The research was conducted to determine the relationship between adherence to the consumption of blood-added tablets with hemoglobin levels in adolescent women in MTs Darul Istiqomah Srigading Lampung Timur. Method: This type of research was an analytical survey with a quantitative approach. The research design used was cross-sectional with a total of 47 respondents who have fulfilled inclusion and exclusion criteria. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling and the sampling method used stratified random sampling. Data on compliance with blood-added tablets consumption using a questionnaire and data on hemoglobin using the Quick Check Hb methods. To determine the relationship of blood additional tablets consumption with hemoglobin levels using Rank Spearman. Result: The results showed thats respondents who obediently consumed blood-added tablets of 34% and respondents with low hemoglobin levels (<12 g/dL) of 61,7%. Statistical tests with Rank Spearman show p-value between adherence to blood-added tablet consumption and hemoglobin levels was < 0,001. Conclusion: There was a significant relationship between adherence to the consumption of blood-added tablets with hemoglobin levels in MTs Darul istiqomah Srigading Lampung Timur. There needs to be nutritional education to young women about the importance of consuming blood-added tablets in order to increase compliance inconsuming blood-added tablets.
