Abstract
This research is ananalyst about the meaning of nationalism in mural art. The object of this research are murals in Solo, created by street artist Solo Is Solo. The figures depicted in the mural are like; Joko Widodo, Gesang Martohartono, Rio Haryanto, Ki Anom Suroto, Susi Pudjiastuti, Didi Kempot, Soekarno, dan Gus Dur. Murals of these figures are used as research samples, because they become depictions of influential figures in Indonesia. The purpose of the research is to find out and analyze the meaning of nationalism on the mural. The analytical technique used by researchers to study the research was triadic analysis developed by Charles Sander Pierce with a triadic semiotic approach. The result of correlation between research data and semiotics theory shows that murals in Solo was contain nationalism values.
