Abstract
Farmers are a job that carrying out work activities form postures, where these postures increase the incidence of musculoskeletal disorders. This study to determine the relationship between work postures measured using the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) method and musculoskeletal complaints using a Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaire for farmers. This research method is analytic observational with cross sectional approach. The number of respondents was 110 farmers with purposive sampling technique. The results showed that 69.1% had moderate risk of working posture and 53.6% had moderate musculoskeletal complaints. The test results show that there is a significant relationship between work posture and musculoskeletal complaints (p-value = 0.000) and has a strong relationship strength (r = 0.523). Based on the research, respondents work with non-ergonomic postures because after taking measurements, it is found that the risk is low to high. Based on the assessment, respondents experienced musculoskeletal disorders in the neck, shoulders, back and waist. It is suggested to farmers to pay attention to ergonomic principles by seeking information from the nearest health facility, stretching muscles, not smoking, getting enough rest, and exercising regularly. Then suggested to health agencies to reach out to the agricultural sector to carry out counseling about work postures and musculoskeletal disorders.
