Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of variables consisting of: reasons for smoking, cigarette price, age, income, and length of smoking on cigarette consumption. In this study the type of research used is causal associative with a quantitative approach. The population in this study was the people of Grobogan Regency with the research sample being 100 respondents with smoking status, the sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique. The analysis used in this study was logistic regression. The results of the analysis showed that the variable of reasons for smoking had an insignificant effect, while the variables of cigarette price, age, income, and length of smoking had a significant effect on the variable of cigarette consumption.
