Abstract
The population growth in Pasar Kliwon District will increase according to the large number of birth rates that exist. This has resulted in an increase in existing pollution, especially in waste from human activities. This study aims to: (1) Identify the distribution of water quality conditions and groundwater feasibility in Pasar Kliwon District based on quality standards according to the Decree of the Minister of Health No. 32 of 2017, (2) Analyze the effect of population density on water quality conditions in Pasar Kliwon District, (3) analyze the influence of groundwater flow direction on groundwater pollution by domestic waste in Pasar Kliwon District. The research method used in this study was in the form of a survey method, by taking groundwater samples for laboratory tests using random techniques, and considering population density strata. The higher the level of population density, the greater the number of samples. Sampling to determine the direction of groundwater flow using the researcher's consideration of the research objectives in the hope that the sample can represent the research area. The analysis method used uses a comparative analysis of the results of laboratory tests of groundwater samples with permenkes RI No. 32 of 2017 as well as the method of intercropping the direction of groundwater flow and water quality conditions. The results showed that all samples were contaminated with Escherichia Colli bacteria which had exceeded the threshold, while the pH, Nitrite and TSS parameters were still below the specified limit. Population density has an influence on the condition of groundwater quality because the waste produced will increase. However, in this study the amount of pollution that exists between each density classification tends to be more evenly distributed. The results of the intercropping show an indication of the spread of pollution that will be distributed from high places to lower places
