Abstract
During the pandemic Covid -19 that happened moment this is very much needed many information about Covid-19 . In the era of globalization deployment information could accessed with easy , wherever and whenever , as well as who just could give information . Personal smartphone is one _ tool easy communication _ as well as effective in look for information . Study this focuses on students at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta who have access to information about Covid-19 through smartphone personal them . Destination from study this for knowing level satisfaction among student Faculty Knowledge Communication and Informatics Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta in access information related Covid-19 with theory Uses and gratification . Theory this used as base for knowing how much big level satisfaction student to utilization smartphone them . Study this use method quantitative with type descriptive and retrieval technique sample use Purposive Sampling as well as data collection techniques using questionnaire with descriptive survey method . Study this get results that student Faculty Knowledge Communication and Informatics Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta is very satisfied with their smartphone use in look for information related Covid-19 . This is based on an analysis of the calculation of the level of satisfaction obtained at 0.8238 with a very satisfied scale and supported by an explanation of each item from the Gratification Obtained (GO) variable where Smartphones can effectively provide Covid-19 information.
