Abstract

The crawler excavator uses a hydraulic system as a power source by utilizing a liquid (hydraulic oil) to move all of its working tools, including the travel motor as a wheel drive. When viewed from its function, the travel motor is an important component of a crawler excavator, when low power occurs in the hydraulic system of the travel motor, it will result in a decrease in the workability of the tool. This analysis aims to determine the damage that occurred and determine the steps to repair the travel motor that is damaged. By checking starting from the control valve, center swivel joint, and travel motor. From the results of the analysis of damage to the Komatsu PC75UU-3 excavator travel motor which experienced low power, it was found that the damage occurred to the spool valve component, which was caused by continuous friction between the spool valve and the travel motor case wall which resulted in the inability to distribute oil properly. maximum to the motor piston.
