Abstract

The background of research on the use of internet of things technology in helping to detect water levels is the situation in Geneng Village which is often flooded. The purpose of this study is to monitor or monitor water levels on the Bengawan Solo river in Geneng Village, Geneng District, Ngawi Regency, East Java. The method used is by using the HC-SR04 sensor as an ultrasonic wave transmitter, which functions as a water level detector, then the data obtained by the sensor will be processed by the NodeMCU processor and sent to Blynk via the internet. The main components in this research are Ultrasonic Sensor HCSR-04, NodeMCU ESP8266, 50K Potentiometer and BLYNK IoT Application. Buzzer, Smartphone, and USB Cable support components. The results of this test show that the ultrasonic sensor has a percentage error value of 0.30% and the results can be known through the BLYNK application on the smartphone.
