Abstract

In general, the lock and chain security system is still widely used in a house. In the current era, both systems are considered less precise and inefficient. Resulting in problems in the form of home theft which often occurs due to key security devices that are easily damaged. The right way to overcome this problem is to create a security tool, as well as access that can be monitored directly and indirectly. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to create a tool that can be monitored and controlled access by its users. Key security can be applied via Keypad and Android-based applications with Internet Of Things (IOT) via smartphones. This tool uses Solenoid Door Lock, 12V Adapter, 4x4 Keypad, 16x2 LCD, NodeMCU ESP8266, and Android-based applications on smartphones. When the indicator on the LCD is lit and asked to enter the lock PIN using the Keypad, the Solenoid Door Lock will open if the PIN entered is correct. If the PIN is entered incorrectly, the Solenoid Door Lock will not open. Control of the Solenoid Door Lock by using the application on Android on the Smartphone and also changing the password via the Smartphone in the application. From the results of testing the tool, it was found that the keypad functions according to the program, the application used can control according to the program, and the PIN changes in the application. The results of this study are expected to improve the door security system and reduce the risk of crime.
