Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a major impact on the Indonesian economy, one of which is the traditional market in Cisumur Village. Many traders have closed their businesses from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. As for other problems that need to be addressed such as completeness of facilities and infrastructure. This study aims to determine alternative development strategies for traditional markets in Cisumur Village. The benefit of the research is to obtain a development strategy for the traditional market of Cisumur Village so that it can be more developed. The approach used is a quantitative approach, with SWOT and AHP analysis methods. Based on the results of the SWOT analysis, it is found that the traditional market is in quadrant 1 which means it requires an aggressive strategy. There are 9 alternative development strategies that are ordered based on the priority scale from the results of the AHP analysis. The alternative strategy that has the highest priority value is to group traders according to the type of product being sold to be more orderly and efficient, with a priority value of 17% and an alternative strategy to optimize the products sold in the market by adding product variations with the lowest priority value of 6%.
