Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore the general character of the Prophet Muhammad. on the translated text of the Koran. General character of the Prophet Muhammad in the text of the translation of the Koran. explore and describe the linguistic character of the Prophet Muhammad. Developing teaching materials for Indonesian language learning based on linguistic characters for character building of high school students, especially their politeness in language. This research includes qualitative descriptive research. The object of this research is the letters and verses in the TTA that use the word Muhammad in elementary school to be implemented in learning in elementary school. The data used is the value of character education in TTA which uses the word "muhammad". The data collection method and technique used is the listening method, especially the free-of-conversation (SBLC) listening technique. Data analysis was carried out using the equivalent method. Based on the analysis of the translation of the Qur'an using the word Muhammad found eleven characters, namely: (1) religious, (2) responsibility, (3) Social Care, (4) Love to Read, (5) discipline, (6) brave, (7) independent, (8) honest, (9) curiosity, (10) tolerance, (11) hard work. The following are the letters and verses containing the characters and their analysis. The results also show that students are motivated to develop the values of character education in everyday life.
