Abstract
The rice milling industry plays a very important role for the indonesian population with the majority of the population consuming rice. MSMEs milling Manunggal Source of Fortune as one of them. The activities carried out at the MSMEs are rice drying, breaking skin and bleaching rice, the final process (packing), and storage. This study aims to determine the level of risk caused by work posture when carrying out activities using the OWAS method and proposed improvements to reduce complaints of low back pain experienced by workers. The type of research carried out was descriptive observational with a sampling technique, namely saturated sampling of 5 respondents. The results of this study show that 1 of activities are included in category 4, namely very dangerous and repairs need to be carried out right now, 3 of activities fall into category 3, namely dangerous and repairs need to be carried out as soon as possible, 5 of activities enter the district 2 which is dangerous and needs improvement in the future, and 4 of activities fall into category 1, namely safe or no problems and no need for improvement. For this reason, it is necessary to improve the work posture of workers, propose the design of work equipment, and make Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
