Abstract
Covid-19 or Coronavirus Disease 2019 is an infectious disease whose case was first reported in Indonesia on March 2, 2020. The government implemented a Large-Scale Social Restriction (PSBB) policy to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic which continues to spread, but this policy has a negative impact on the economy because all activities cannot run smoothly. normal. The Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on the company's condition, this is known from the drop in stock prices and the decline in financial performance due to uncertain conditions. The purpose of this study is to find and analyze whether there is a difference between the value of the company and the company's financial performance. The population used in this study are manufacturing companies in the consumer goods and industrial sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2019-2020. The sampling method was purposive sampling according to predetermined criteria. The number of samples collected was as many as 53 companies. With the data outliers as many as 12 companies, the sample used is 41 companies. The data that has been collected was tested using descriptive statistical analysis and normality test, then the data was analyzed by using the One Sample T Test. 2 The results showed that there were differences in the firm value variable as proxied by Tobin's Q and financial performance as proxied by Net Profit Margin, Debt to Equity Ratio, Total Asset Turn Over and Current Ratio before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, it can be said that there are differences in company value and financial performance before and during the Covid-19 pandemic in manufacturing companies in the goods and consumption industry sector in 2019-2020.
