Abstract

Most of the equipment that is often used for household use uses electricity from PLN. The need for electric power is increasing while the supply of electricity is very limited, it requires us to save electricity usage. Most home lighting control still uses manual switches that are permanently attached to each panel placed on the walls of the house. Waste of electricity is often caused by forgetting to turn off the lights so that the lights are on continuously. This goal is to design and create a system to make it easier to control home lights by giving an automatic time on and an automatic off time, so that users can control it remotely. This smarthome system works using nodeMCU which is designed using 2 processes, namely hardware design and software design. Control is done through an Android application to run the entire system with the help of nodeMCU which will give orders to the motor, relay, 5 DC (Direct Current) lights, door lock, and send the battery percentage. The result of making this tool is that the distance does not affect the delivery time, a distance of 1 km only takes 15.13 seconds, while from West Sumatra it takes 15.71 seconds, the connection affects the time of receiving and reading data, if a fast connection only takes 15.13 seconds, if a bad connection takes 39.07 seconds .
