Abstract
Education is an interaction between students and teachers that cannot be separated from the learning process. In the learning process, it is very necessary to have an appropriate innovation related to teaching models or methods so that learning is not monotonous and educational targets can be achieved, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. Thus, the author formulated two problems in this study, namely how to implement the Blended Learning Model in PAI learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic at SMP Negeri 8 Surakarta, and how to successfully implement the Blended Learning model in PAI learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at SMP Negeri 8 Surakarta. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Blended Learning Model in PAI learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic at SMP Negeri 8 Surakarta and to describe the success of implementing the Blended Learning model in PAI learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at SMP Negeri 8 Surakarta. This research uses descriptive qualitative research based on research in the field with a phenomenological approach. Sources of data in this study were PAI teachers and students of SMP Negeri 8 Surakarta, as well as other relevant documents. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used in the form of data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results of this study are to apply the Blended Learning model in PAI learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic at SMP Negeri 8 Surakarta, there are three stages, namely 1) the planning stage, including preparing offline and online RPP, Internet network, WhatsApp application, Classroom, Zoom Meeting , IndoPrima, a combination of 50% PJJ:50% PTM time allocation, and Blended Learning model in the form of a rotation model. 2) the implementation stage, namely the implementation of online learning through WhatsApp Groups, educators open greetings, pray, explain material, ask for discussion, give assignments. Then, the implementation of offline learning, the teacher opens greetings, prays, student attendance, reads the Koran, explains the material, asks for discussion, gives assignments. 3) The evaluation stage, which includes assessing students online by looking at the responses and active discussions in WhatsApp groups, and answering questions via google form, and offline learning assessments where the teacher assesses students when practicing memorizing the Koran in class and diligently doing assignments. The successful application of the blended learning model in PAI learning at SMP Negeri 8 Surakarta in 3 aspects of student learning, namely 1) aspects of student attitudes were observed from the active response of discussions when learning online and students' readiness when praying in class. 2) aspects of student knowledge obtained from online or offline learning outcomes in the form of assignment scores, UTS, UAS, and daily tests. 3) the aspect of student skills is assessed from the practice of memorizing the Koran when learning online and offline.
