Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of corporate governance mechanisms on company performance. Measurement of indicators of corporate governance mechanism, namely public ownership, institutional ownership and managerial ownership. The company's performance measurement is using Tobin's Q. The population used is LQ45 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2017-2019 with a total of 30 companies. The sampling technique used is the purposive sampling method. Methods of data analysis using descriptive statistical analysis methods, panel data regression analysis, classical assumption test and hypothesis testing. Data analysis using the Eviews 12 application. The results of this study indicate that (1) public ownership has a negative and significant effect on company performance. (2) institutional ownership has a positive and significant effect on company performance. (3) managerial ownership has no significant effect on company performance.
