Abstract
Telescopic boom is one of the main components in a truck crane that is driven by a hydraulic system. The boom consists of 1 base boom and 4 sections that can extend up to 43 meters. The lifting media uses a hook and wire rope attached to the winch drum. At the time of lifting the load, the elevating cylinder will lift the telescopic boom so as to form a lifting angle and working radius and there will be reaction forces on the telescopic boom due to loading.This analysis aims to determine the magnitude of the reaction force acting on the telescopic boom with variations in the addition of arm length from boom 1 (base boom) to 5 (full extended), 60 ton lifting load and working angle of 60°. And take into account the pump power required by the elevating cylinder to lift the telescopic boom due to the reaction force due to loading.From the results of the analysis of the largest reaction force due to loading on the telescopic boom with a lifting angle of 60° and a lifting load of 60 tons, the telescopic boom was fully opened (43 meters), namely Ay = 526191.317kg, Ax = 159736,816kg at pedestal A and By = 603802 ,007kg, Bx= 159736,816kg at pedestal B.As for the pump power required for the elevating cylinder under these conditions, Np= 115,579HP with hydraulic pressure P=60380,201 kg⁄m^2 and oil flow rate =〖4,667x10〗^(-3) m^3⁄s.
