Abstract
The principal's instructional leadership at the center of excellence determines the success of learning implementation and the prospects for the absorption of graduates at SMK Negeri 1 Sukoharjo. The research aims to (1) describe and examine the implementation planning program for the instructional leadership of the principal of the center of excellence at SMK Negeri 1 Sukoharjo, (2) describe and examine the implementation of the instructional leadership of the principal of the center of excellence at the SMK Negeri 1 Sukoharjo, (3) describe and study the prospects. the absorption of graduates from the instructional leadership of the principal of the center of excellence at SMK Negeri 1 Sukoharjo. This type of research is qualitative with a grounded research approach. The subjects of this research were principals, vice principals, heads of expertise programs, heads of administration, teachers, parents, committees, DUDIKA and accompanying universities. Data collection techniques used observational roles, in-depth interviews and analysis of documents and archives. Data analysis technique using triangulation. The results of the research are: (1) The Principal of the Center for Excellence in SMK Negeri 1 Sukoharjo does a good planning of instructional leadership. (2) The Principal of the Center for Excellence at SMK Negeri 1 Sukoharjo implements innovative and collaborative instructional leadership, the principal can act as a change driver who is able to build partnerships with DUDIKA through planning, implementing and evaluating school programs according to industry demands. (3) Instructional leadership The principal of the Center of Excellence of SMK Negeri 1 Sukoharjo in his instructional leadership is able to increase the prospect of absorption of graduates of SMK Negeri 1 Sukoharjo students in various companies or industry partnerships that have been implemented including curriculum synchronization, application of guest teachers, street vendors, industrial classes, teacher internships and guest teachers. By responding to changes and developments in the needs of industry and the world of work for school progress, it is evident from the prospect of increasing graduate absorption from year to year.
