Abstract
Berbah District is a suburb of Yogyakarta City which is experiencing a fairly rapid regional development. This is indicated by the increase in physical buildings. Berbah District is also supported by the main route connecting Yogyakarta City, to Klaten Regency, Solo City, also to Gunung Kidul Regency, so it has more potential in terms of accessibility to support the economic cycle. In addition to accessibility, the development of the area in Berbah District is also driven by the growth of tourism in 1 the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Berbah District is one of the entrances for tourists from outside the area because of the Adisutjipto Airport. The objectives of this study are (1) to analyze the distribution of land use change in Berbah Sub-district in 2011 and 2020, (2) to analyze the distribution pattern of land use change in Berbah sub-district in 2011 and 2020, and (3) to analyze the direction of development of change. land in the District of Berbah. The method used in this study is to interpret remote sensing images and field surveys to validate the data from image interpretation. The two images used are GeoEye-1 Imagery and SPOT-7 Imagery in 2020. The analysis ofthe distribution pattern of land use change uses the Nearest Neighborhood Analysis method, while the analysis of the direction of development of land use change usestheStandard Deviational Ellipse method. The results showed that the land use change in Berbah District in 2011 and 2020 had an area of 99.03 Ha, or 3.95% of the entire areaof Berbah District. Changes in land use in Berbah District are dominated by changes in the type of use of irrigated rice fields into residential land use types with a total areaof 47.81 hectares with a percentage of 47.89% of all land use changes that occur. Changes in the type of use of irrigated rice fields into the largest type of land use for settlements in Sendangtirto Village with an area of 19.22 Ha with a percentage of 40.20% of the total area of change in the use of irrigated land into residential land use.The distribution pattern of land use change in Berbah Subdistrict in 2011 and 2020 hasa value of 0.634764, where the pattern value is included in the clustered pattern class. The direction of development of land use change in Berbah Subdistrict in 2011 and 2020 tends to be southwest and northeast or towards Sendangtirto Village, Tegaltirto Village, and Kalitirto Village with an average center of gravity which is the center of the distribution of land use change is at coordinate X 439098.325913 and Y 9136827.869412 with a Standard Deviational Ellipse (SDE) rotation angle of 73.094902 degrees.
