Abstract
Regional Spatial Plans in some areas are still experiencing inconsistencies in their manufacture. This discrepancy is based on the area of agricultural land that has changed in the period 2009 to 2019, which is indicated to be converted into residential and industrial land. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the Regional Spatial Plan in Ngawi Regency based on the land potential index to determine the suitability of the spatial pattern distribution on the Regional Spatial Plan map to its land potential. The research aims to: (1) determine the distribution of the land potential index by making a map of the land potential index in Ngawi Regency, and (2) evaluate the suitability of the Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW) to the land potential index in Ngawi Regency. The method used in this research is to overlay the map of the Ngawi Regency Spatial Plan with the Land Potential Index (IPL) map. The method used to perform the suitability analysis is subjective matching. Assessment of the land potential index is carried out by overlaying the results of the ratings on the parameters of topography, lithology, soil type, hydrology, and disaster vulnerability. Based on the classification used, land potential is divided into four classes, namely, very high, high, medium, and low classes. The results obtained from this study are the land potential index map and the spatial pattern RTRW evaluation map based on the Ngawi Regency land potential index. Based on these results, Ngawi Regency consists of four IPL classes, very high class with an area of 9,218 ha or 7%, high class 49,650 ha or 36%, medium class having an area of 76,324 ha or 56% and low class having an area of 2,050 ha. or by 1%. The results of the evaluation of the Spatial Pattern RTRW map in 2011 – 2031 based on IPL for agricultural suitability are 42,542 or 41%, while the non-conformity is 60,393 ha or 59%. Meanwhile, non-agricultural spatial patterns have a high suitability of 16,013 ha or 51%, and 15,372 ha or 49% are not suitable.
