Abstract

Tracer study is a search for college graduates that aims to obtain alumni feedback in relation to the world of work used by universities for self-evaluation, improving the quality of the curriculum and education system. The implementation of tracer studies at the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta in general still uses a website where alumni fill out a number of survey questions on the website. However, there are still many students who fill out the survey, even though the ease of using the website can no doubt be accessed on all devices anytime and anywhere, there is very little awareness to fill out surveys. Therefore, the author conducted research, namely developing an Android-based tracer study application that aims to increase alumni's interest in filling out surveys and at the same time accommodate alumni. To achieve this, the application is designed to provide features including the feature of sharing posts in the form of photos or descriptions of any kind, whether job vacancies, scholarships, internships, or others, secondly, there is a locker search feature and can save it in a bookmark list, as well as updating profiles to provide information. up-to-date on alumni profiles. This feature will increase the use of applications by alumni intensively, as evidenced by data from Firebase trtics, which shows that since the first release on July 27, 2022 to July 30, 2022, 109 users have recorded application usage by 30 students installing the application. In addition, this application minimizes application users from not filling out tracer study surveys because to use all features of the alumni application, they must fill out tracer study surveys so that alumni who use this application are confirmed to have filled out the survey.
