Abstract

The needs of the community that needs to be fulfilled one of them is electrical energy. Therefore, the distribution system should have protection in the distribution of electricity systems to ensure the reliability and continuity of electrical energy when supporting human activities. Protection equipment on the distribution network plays a role in breaking disruption that can lead to the widespread area of the blackout. Setting the protection of the protection of the network affects the magnitude of the short circuit interface. Protection equipment needs to be coordinated that no disruption disruption that causes on consumer losses. This research has a goal to know the performance of PMT and recloser during interruption and simulate with Etap 12.6.0 software and compare the results of the calculation and the simulation. In this study using a literature study research method and data methods of PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Klaten. The data is processed and matured mathematically later simulated on Etap 12.6.0 software. The results of the scales of short circuit flows on PMT have the calculation of 8.452 KA, on the 9th bus calculation of 3.342 KA, at reloser 1 calculation of 1.939 ka, at recloser 2 calculations of 1.905 ka. The results of this calculation are no different from the simulation results. At the time of occurrence of recloser 2 has an operation time (t) of 0.297 s, recloser 1 amounted to 0.596 s, and OCR of 0.998 s. Simulation on Etap software on Bus 3 and Bus 9 When there is 3 Phasa interference then PMT will open with the help of OCR relays to provide open signal to PMT while, on bus 25 and bus 27 when there is 3 distress interference then recloser will lock-out/open.
