Abstract

Land is a field located above the earth's surface in the form of the atmosphere, soil, parent rock, topography, water, plants and animals, as well as the results of human activities on earth. The land use itself needs to be planned and arranged according to its character and function, in order to create a safe, comfortable, and even space. This research was conducted in the Klaten Tengah Subdistrict, Klaten Regency, which aims to (1) analyze the distribution of changes in agricultural land use to non-agriculture in Central Klaten District in 2010 and 2020, (2) analyze the main driving factors for land use changes that occurred in Central Klaten District. Central Klaten District in the period 2010 to 2020. The data analysis method used in this study is the GeoEye-01 image interpretation method that utilizes GIS technology, namely by using the overlay method between 2010 and 2020 land use maps so that the results can be analyzed using descriptive method. The factors causing the main drivers of land use change using qualitative data analysis methods. The sampling method used in determining the sample point is purposive sampling. The results of the analysis of the map of changes in use of agricultural land to non-agricultural in Central Klaten District in 2010 and 2020 found that the type of residential land that dominated the most changes was 17.831 Ha. Buntalan Village is the village that experienced the most changes of 18,693 Ha. Meanwhile, Klaten Village is the village with the least land use change, which is 0.122 Ha. Based on the results of the analysis, this change in use makes several main driving factors such as the number and density of the population, accessibility, and facilities and infrastructure.
