Abstract
his study aims to examine and describe authentic assessments conducted at SD Negeri 03 Jaten Karanganyar, Central Java, especially in the aspect of knowledge in accordance with the 2013 Curriculum by religious education teachers in the 2020/2021 school year while the COVID-19 pandemic was still ongoing. This research belongs to the category of qualitative research which is structured inductively, in which the data obtained in the field are analyzed and then drawn conclusions. The data collection techniques that the researcher used were interviews, observations, and document studies. Interviews were conducted directly with religious education teachers. Observations are made by going directly to the field. Document studies are conducted to obtain written data according to research needs. The findings from this study indicate that religious education teachers at SD Negeri 03 Jaten Karanganyar have assessed all basic competencies (KD) even though only using a written assessment technique. The media used by these teachers are chat applications such as WhatsApp and Telegram. This is done to avoid direct contact between teachers and students because it is feared that there will be transmission of the COVID-19 virus.
