Abstract

This study aims to determine the prosecution of traffic violators in the jurisdiction of the Surakarta Police through CCTV e-Tilang and the obstacles and obstacles faced by police officers in the use of CCTV e-Tilang against Traffic Violations in the jurisdiction of the Surakarta Police. The researcher uses the approach method used in this study is an empirical approach whose data were obtained at the CCTV Unit in the TMC (Traffic Management Center) Polresta Surakarta in order to obtain accurate data and information related to this research. The results of the study regarding the prosecution of Traffic Violations in the jurisdiction of the Surakarta Police through CCTV e-Tilang are in accordance with Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation which is further regulated in Government Regulation Number 80 of 2012 concerning Procedures for Inspection Motorized Vehicles on the Road and Enforcement of Traffic and Road Transportation Violations whose technical implementation consists of 4 (four) stages. The obstacles experienced by the police are related to technical difficulties, where the people of Surakarta are still lacking in discipline both in driving and also understanding the rules that have been socialized by the Surakarta Police. ticket every day, which results in the number of violations being identified being less than the maximum. Lastly, regarding the less than optimal allocation of financial resources, both human resources and equipment needed to support the effective implementation of E-Tickets.
