Abstract

Kuliner Tradisional Dhoplang is located in Pandan Village, Slogohimo District, Wonogiri Regency, Central Java. All transactions in this culinary market use a wooden coins. Coins made from wooden sticks cut into small pieces are also commonly called kereweng. The purpose of this study is to answer some of the problems that arise; to find out how the practice of transactions with wooden kereweng coins in Kuliner Tradisional Dhoplang and knowing the views of Islamic law about transactions with wooden kereweng coins as a medium of exchange. In this study, the authors use qualitative methods to obtain and process information. The author also uses an anthropological approach to understand and relate the theory to the data that the author has obtained in the field. The results showed that the practice of transactions with kereweng in Kuliner Tradisional Dhoplang was in accordance with Islamic law, the pillars and conditions had been met, and did not contain gharar. The law of buying and selling with wooden kereweng coins in the scope of Dhoplang Traditional Culinary can be said to be legal.
