Abstract

The teaching and learning process is not only about facts or concepts,but the feelings or emotions of students also need to be involved. This study aims to describe the skills of teachers as facilitators in inculcating the national spirit of SMP Negeri 1 Maospati students. This research uses a qualitative type of research with the research subjects of principals, PAI teachers, PPKn teachers, BI teachers, Class VII guardians, extracurricular karawitan coaches, scouts and students of SMP Negeri 1 Maospati. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis using data reduction and drawing conclusions. The results of the study are that schools have policies to carry out active collaboration/partnerships in inculcating students' national spirit through monitoring and evaluation. The teacher has a strategy in student-centered learning-oriented learning.The obstacles for teachers as facilitators are the inadequate provision of teaching materials and the ineffective implementation of monitoring and evaluation from schools. The increase in the national spirit of students is obtained through intracurricular, extracurricular and incidental activities.
