Abstract
Population growth is affected by 3 demographic components, namely mortality, migration and births. The birth rate is a number that shows the number of women producing live births. This study aims to analyze the effect of per capita gross regional domestic product, minimum wage for workers, human development index and the number of medical personnel on the birth rate of districts and cities in Central Java in 2020. The type of data is secondary data in the form of cross section data consisting of 35 districts and cities in Central Java in 2020. The data analysis method uses multiple linear regression with the ordinary least square (OLS) method. The results of data analysis showed that the data were normally distributed and the model was linear. The results of the t test show that the regional gross domestic product per capita, the minimum wage for workers, the human development index, and the number of medical personnel have a significant effect. Furthermore, the model exists and the coefficient of determination is 86.89%. The implementation of the results shows that when the regional gross domestic product per capita and the human development index increase, the birth rate tends to decrease, while when the minimum wage for workers and the number of medical personnel increases, the birth rate tends to increase
