Abstract
The success of economic development in an area cannot be separated from the handling of employment problems, especially employment opportunities and employment and unemployment. The expansion of employment is needed to keep pace with the growth rate of the young population entering the labor market. This study aims to analyze the effect of regional gross domestic product, minimum wage, inflation on labor absorption in Central Kalimantan Province 2010-2017. Methods of data analysis using multiple linear regression ordinary least squares (OLS) method. The results of data analysis showed that the data were normally distributed and the model was linear. The results show that the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), Inflation (INF) and the Regency/City Minimum Wage (UMK) have an effect on Labor Absorption (PTK). the Gross Regional Domestic Product variable increases by 1%, then Labor Absorption will decrease by 0.034896 100% = 3.49% On the other hand, if the Gross Regional Domestic Product variable decreases by 1%, then Labor Absorption will increase by 0.034896 100% = 3.49%. Inflation variable increased by 1%, then Labor Absorption decreased by 0.034338 100% = 3.43%. Conversely, if inflation decreases by 1%, then Labor Absorption will increase by 0.034338 100% = 3.43% and the Regency/City Minimum Wage variable increases by 1%, then Labor Absorption will increase by 0.505317%. On the other hand, if the Regency/City Minimum Wage decreases by 1%, then Labor Absorption will decrease by 0.505317%.
