Abstract
Communication Mediated Computer (CMC) is a communication process that involves humans through computers. Communication in the CMC process has a transactional nature, namely communication can be an exchange in transactional communication such as sender who becomes a receiver or vice versa. Optimal use of social media will have a positive impact on increasing public literacy. SNS users are not confident enough to present themselves in front of other users. Through anonymous SNS, users have the confidence to exchange information with each other. research is to find out how much satisfaction is obtained by followers of the @MahasiswaUMS by comparing satisfaction and user motives. The research population is UMS students who follow the Twitter account @MahasiswaUMS. 99 respondents through the purposive sampling calculated by the slovin. Pearson Closed instrument for data collection with 's Product Moment as a validity test and Cronbach's Alpha as a reliability test.account @MahasisiwaUMS cannot provide satisfaction. The motive result is greater than satisfaction with a gap of 0.61.lack of information is a factor that causes @MahasiswaUMS not get satisfaction from the account.
