Abstract

A place of worship is one of the most vital components of religious life. A place of worship is a building used by the community to fulfill its religious duty to worship God Almighty. The city of Surakarta has a variety of religious buildings, including mosques, monasteries, churches, and temples. However, information on the distribution of Surakarta's houses of worship remains scarce. So, it is difficult for travelers visiting Surakarta to get information about these sites of worship. Therefore, we need a geographic information system that can offer data on the location of worship places in Surakarta. In this work, the objective is to establish a geographic information system for the city's places of worship as a solution to the issues that occur. This system was created with the waterfall method and created with HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, and Javascript. The achieved findings are a web-based geographic information system that can present the mapping of Surakarta's places of worship. System testing utilizing the System Usability Scale (SUS) and Black Box method obtained a score of 74.83.
