Abstract

One of the energy that is often used and very important to support life is electrical energy, the use of electrical energy needs to be controlled so that there is no excessive use or unwanted events. In order to know the use of energy, it is necessary to design and convert energy so that it can be seen how much the increase in energy efficiency or energy savings is. In order for the data to be more accurate, it is necessary to conduct an energy audit which is one of the processes in energy conversion. There are several audit methods that can be used, namely the calculation of the kWh meter, the total power requirement (kW), and calculating the monthly electricity bill. There are several ways to get this data, including looking at the MEP building design or using the calculation method manually or using the ETAP software. This study discusses the design of the amount of electrical energy used in the Gramedia Cilegon Building. Gramedia Cilegon Building which is a 3-storey shophouse which was converted and renovated into Gramedia Cilegon Building. This building has the same area on each floor. The results of this study indicate that the electricity consumption at the Gramedia Cilegon Building can be said to be efficient, as evidenced by the results of calculations using the EKL formula. The calculated data is then classified based on the IKE efficiency value table using the SNI standard, which does not exceed the number 7.92 – 12.08.
