Abstract

Entering the junior high school phase of children means entering an age where they will experience many changes in themselves, whether changes in physical, mental, or emotional. So the subject of fiqh at the junior high school level is very important because it is a provision for students to be able to understand and know Islamic law in detail in accordance with Islamic law, as a guide for their future life. So it is hoped that it will affect the behavior of students, which ultimately forms a better way of thinking and behavior habits based on the Islamic religion that has been studied. However, what happened at MTs IQ Putri, many children were less focused in receiving learning material due to various factors, but the main factor was students who liked to sleep and even fell asleep in class when the teacher explained the subject matter, this would certainly reduce the quality of learning in class. as well as the knowledge gained by students. So the purpose of this research is to describe what efforts are being made by teachers to improve the quality of fiqh learning in the classroom and what are the inhibiting and supporting factors of teachers to improve the quality of fiqh learning in the classroom. This study uses a qualitative type with a phenomenon approach. Methods of data collection using interviews, observations and documents. The data validity technique uses triangulation which consists of triangulation of data sources and triangulation of methods and with the help of interactive model analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that the teacher's efforts to improve the quality of Fiqh learning at MTs Ibnul Qoyyim Putri are to create a pleasant learning atmosphere, the teacher uses a variety of varied learning methods such as showing video / ppt using Lcd, adding games in the form of games or ice breaking in the middle of learning, provide rewards in the form of prizes to outstanding students, additional intensive hours for students who have difficulty receiving lessons, and conduct evaluations. The supporting factors are the teacher's role, the role of the madrasa head and facilities and infrastructure, while the inhibiting factors are student discipline and the lack of student motivation in learning in terms of several factors, but the main factor in this case is students who like to sleep and even fall asleep in class when the teacher explains the subject matter.
