Abstract

This study aims to determine the consumption pattern of the poor with female family heads in Karang Pelem Village, Kedawung District, Sragen Regency. The population in this study were female family heads who received the Family Hope Program Assistance in Karang Pelem Village, Kedawung Districts, Sragen Regency. Methods of data collection using structured interviews, observation, questionnaire and documentation. The data analysis technique used qualitative analysis. The results of the analysis in this study indicate that a) Consumption patterns carried out by the community in allocating income mostly to non-food items such as debt installments, fuel, and children's school expenses. b) The level of poverty among the poor in Karang Pelem Village, Kedawung District, Sragen Regency is high due to low awareness of education. c) PKH assistance provided is used to shop for basic needs. d) PKH assistance helps reduce the burden of spending on school fees for children, the elderly, and the disabled. e) If the PKH recipient does not receive the assistance, the pattern of food and non-food expenditure will decrease because it adjusts the income earned.
