Abstract

Background: Hypertension is the most common comorbidity found in COVID-19 patients. Hypertensive patients are the most important comorbidities and are more exposed to the COVID-19 virus infection than non-hypertensive patients. This can affect psychology in hypertensive patients, one of which is fatigue in hypertensive patients. Research Objective: This study aims to find out the picture of the anxiety level of hypertensive patients during the COVID-19 pandemic in the Kartasura Health Center Work Area. Methods: The design of the study used analytical descriptives. Sampling using the Acidental sampling technique, and determining the size of the sample using the Slovin formula so that 267 respondents were obtained with a HARS (Hamilton Anxiety Rate Scale) questionnaire measuring instrument with characteristics including Age, Gender, Educational History, Occupation, and length of suffering from hypertension. Result: The results of this study obtained an overview of the anxiety level of hypertensive patients during the COVID-19 pandemic, namely not anxious 67.4%, mild anxiety 22.8%, moderate anxiety 5.6%, severe anxiety 4.1%, very heavy anxiety 0%. Conclusion: Most of the hypertensive patients in the work area of the Kartasura Health Center did not experience anxiety during the COVID-19 pandemic.
