Abstract
The use of media is very important in learning, especially date lessons. Given that learning in the Covid-19 era makes learning done online and face-toface, so as a teacher, you must be able to make students comfortable in learning. One of them is increasing students learning motivation through the use of media. The media used must be in accordance with student leaning conditions. The author’s aim in this study was to find out the use of power point media in increasing learning motivation in date subjects during the Covid-19 period at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Sukoharjo in the 2021/2022 school year. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using phenomenological research approach. Thus, this study will discuss the phenomena that occur related to the use power point media in date learning and the supporting and inhibing factors. The author will go directly to the field to get data in the form of phenomena, events and social activies by means of interviews, observation and documentation. Then this study uses analysis with the following steps: (1) data reduction (2) data presentation (3) drawing conclusions. The subjects of this research were teachers and students of class XII. Based on data analysis, the use of power point media at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Sukoharjo is used to deliver material during online learning. The tarikh subject teacher makes a ppt design that is interesting enough to make students interested in knowing the contents of the ppt then students read the tarikh material. The teacher also motivates tudents and students feel motivated, so students have a desire to study tarikh. O, the use of power point media can increase the learning motivation of class XII students of SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Sukoharjo on date subjects during this covid-19 era. The supporting factors are (1) the implementation of online and face to face learning, (2) the advantages of power point are that it can be used repeatedly and has design features and templates that can be changed, (3) the teacher always provides motivation to learn. While the inhibing factors are: (1) lack of facilities, (2) teachers cannot know and control learning when online.
