Abstract
Stunting is a form when a toddler's height or body length is lower than his age. Several risk factors that cause stunting are the mother's educational status, low birth weight (LBW), exclusive breastfeeding and the diet of children under five. From the risk factors that have been mentioned, diet plays an important role in the growth process because food contains a lot of nutrients. If the diet in children is not achieved, the growth of toddlers will also be disrupted by thin bodies, poor nutrition, and can even become stunted. This study aims to determine the relationship between children's eating patterns and the incidence of stunting in the working area of the Baki Community Health Center, Ngrombo Village. This research is a descriptive correlative research with cross sectional method. The sampling technique used is total sampling with a sample of 32 stunting toddlers who meet the inclusion criteria. The instrument in this study was a child feeding questionnaire (CFQ) with 15 questions and a microtoise height measuring device. Analysis of the data used is the chi square test. The results showed that the diet with stunting incidence showed 6 respondents (18.8%) in the short category with the right diet and 20 respondents (62.5%) with the wrong diet from the total number of stunting toddlers 26 children. Then there were 6 respondents (18.8%) in the very short category with inappropriate eating patterns from the total number of stunting toddlers 6 children. The p value is 0.192 where the value is greater than 0.05. The conclusion is that there is no relationship between eating patterns in children under five and the incidence of stunting in the working area of the Baki Health Center.
