Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a tremendous impact. One of the most severely affected is the education sector. Changing conventional habits that are commonly done into habits based on e-learning is not an easy thing. However, folding all components of the education sector to continue to carry out learning activities even though they have to start adapting to these new habits. One of the institutions affected was Muhammadiyah 1 Gatak Middle School, Sukoharjo. Far from the hustle and bustle of the city, which tends to be in rural areas, of course, you have to think hard to carry out learning activities. This study discusses the strategy and evaluation of learning outcomes at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gatak, Sukoharjo. Relevant to the title, this research is a field research. The approach used in this research is qualitative, which is a descriptive-based method in the form of words, both written and oral. To produce accurate data, the method of collecting data in this research is the method of observation, interview documentation. While in the analytical method, this research uses an interactive analysis method where after the data is collected, the next stage is to present it, and finally the conclusions with the data are immediately described without waiting for all of the data to be collected and to test the validity of the research it is necessary to triangulate data which is the most commonly used for improvement. Validity of qualitative research. The results of this study state that learning strategies can be revealed after being viewed through the method of delivering learning materials. At SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gatak, Sukoharjo uses three methods of delivering learning materials, namely Distance Learning (PJJ), Home Visit, and Face-to-face Learning on a limited basis. The Distance Learning Method (PJJ) uses expository strategies, inquiry strategies, learning strategies to improve thinking skills, as well as individualization strategies and the Home Visit method as well as Face-to-face Learning in a limited way using conventional strategies. The evaluation and results of the implementation of the strategy stated that students tend to be active in finding and redeveloping the material that has been delivered by the teacher and are able to refract the knowledge that has been obtained in everyday life directly, although this also has an unfavorable impact, namely decreased activity. students which have an impact on the decline in students' knowledge of the material being carried out.
