Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how the divorce process during the pandemic, the factors of divorce during the pandemic at the Klaten Religious Court and the efforts made to prevent divorce. This study uses a qualitative research method using a sociological juridical approach. The data collection techniques with literature study and interviews. The results of this study indicate that the divorce process at the Klaten Religious Court during the pandemic on case registration contained case restrictions aimed at reducing mobility and staying away from crowds while the trial itself was running as before the pandemic and the difference was the arrangement of seats in the courtroom, the installation of fiber insulation in the courtroom. desks and the use of masks while online registration has no restrictions, while the solution for registration and trials during the pandemic is to use the e-court application, but in its implementation there are still many obstacles. The reasons for divorce during the pandemic are dominated by continuous disputes and quarrels which have economic trigger factors caused by gambling and factors leaving one party due to the husband's lack of responsibility to his wife. Meanwhile, to prevent divorce from the community element is to improve good communication with spouses, as well as from the judicial element is the existence of mediation using the conclusion method as well as from the socio-religious organization, namely BP4 is by counseling the community about marriage guidance, guidance courses for prospective brides and the existence of counseling for troubled households.
