Abstract
Garbage is the residual material; waste which is solid, semi-solid, and liquid which is a by product of the activities or life cycle of humans, animal or plants which are deemed useless, do not economic value and, are disposed inti the environment. The purpose of the research is (1) to analyze the effect of the conversion of a laystall into a book park on psychological side of people of Setabelan an outside Setabelan. (2) to analyze the effect of the conversion of a laystall into a book park on physical side of people of Setabelan an outside Setabelan. The method used in this research is the survey. This research method is conducted in Setabelan, The questionnaires are distributed for them to get sampling for processing data is the research. The sample method uses the purposive sampling method because there is a particular reason that people of Setabelan themselve can feel the impact of conversion everyday. Even people from outside Setabelan can feel teh impact, too. The research takes samples in Setabelan, Kepatihan Kulon, and Kepatihan Wetan. The formula used to determine the size of samples to represent the population is this research is the accuracy calculations of Slovin formula. The method of data analysis of this research uses the process of spatial comparison analysis. The purpose of spatial comparison process analysis is to analyze the impact both physically and psychologically among people in Setabelan, Kepatihan Kulon, and Kepatihan Wetan. It can be concluded from the research that covertion function of a TPS (laystall) to be a book park is advantageous. Water and air condition gets better. The environment itself gets more beautiful and free from insect or other wild animals attack. That means the function changing is the right option. People who live aroun also accept it well because the environment becomes cleaner, too. Inderectly, it may support for the increase of society’s economy. It also it also function as recreational park as well as a place to elevate the knowledge by reading the available books.
