Abstract
Environmental issues are a result of human negative actions towards the environment, often due to a lack of awareness of its importance. Educating people about environmental care is crucial in addressing this issue. The objectives of this study were (1) to analyze differences in environmental care attitudes among students based on grade levels at SMPN 7 Surakarta, (2) to analyze differences in environmental care attitudes among students based on gender at SMPN 7 Surakarta, and (3) to analyze differences in environmental care attitudes among students based on their participation in Adiwiyata programs at SMPN 7 Surakarta. This research employed a quantitative approach with a survey design. The population consisted of 772 students at SMPN 7 Surakarta, with a sample size of 264 students determined using the Slovin's formula and selected through random sampling from each grade. The study utilized a questionnaire as the instrument to measure differences in environmental care attitudes among students. Data analysis included Independent Sample T-Test and ANOVA. The findings indicated that (1) there were no significant differences in environmental care attitudes among students based on grade levels at SMPN 7 Surakarta, as indicated by (Asymp. Sig. 2-Tailed) ANOVA = 0.115, (2) there were no significant differences in environmental care attitudes among students based on gender at SMPN 7 Surakarta, as indicated by (Asymp. Sig. 2-Tailed) T-Test = 0.310, and (3) there were no significant differences in environmental care attitudes among students based on their participation in Adiwiyata programs at SMPN 7 Surakarta, as indicated by (Asymp. Sig. 2-Tailed) ANOVA = 0.309.
