Abstract
In the automotive sector, to get optimal engine performance, one of them is by modifying the existing system in the engine. Modifications generally use racing parts, one of which is the camshaft. This study aims to increase the volumetric efficiency and its effect on the power and torque produced by the engine. The research method used is an experimental method and by changing the camshaft angle on a 200 cc motorcycle engine. Modifications made are standard camshaft, modified camshaft A and modified camshaft B. The camshaft angle for standard is 225.5°, modified camshaft A is 212° and modified camshaft B is 245.5° which is then tested for dynotest on each angle change. The test results produce power and torque, standard camshaft P = 15.3 HP, T = 15.84 Nm, modified camshaft AP = 14.4 HP, T = 15.59 Nm and modified camshaft BP = 16.1 HP, T = 16.47 Nm
