Abstract
The purposes of this research 1) describe the role of the school environment on the formation of student character in Civics subjects; 2) Implementation of Civics lesson content in character building. Descriptive qualitative is the method in this research with descriptive qualitative design. Data collection was carried out using interview, documentation, and observation techniques. The technique of testing the validity of the data is done by technical triangulation. The research data analysis technique uses interactive analysis which is carried out sequentially, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The location of this research is the village of Mojokerto which is located in the school and the people around SD N Mojokerto 1. The results of this research are 1) The school environment has a vital role in the formation of honest, disciplined, responsible, and tolerant character. As for the form of the role of the school environment as a means for developing science and technology as well as character building, building a polite, civilized and moral order for students, and producing quality future generations; 2) The process of implementing Civics lesson content in character building has 2 stages, the first is planning and the second is excetucion
