Abstract

This research is motivated by the number of teenagers who lack morals and cases of theft, drinking, violence, and even rape committed by teenagers because of promiscuity. This is of course a separate responsibility for Islamic Religious Education teachers. The role of Islamic Religious Education Teachers is very much needed in the formation of students' noble character so that they are in accordance with the values contained in the teachings of Islam. The objectives of this research are (1) to describe the method of PAI teachers in instilling noble character in students at SMPIT Iqro Nogosari, Boyolali. (2) To identify the factors that inhibit and support PAI teachers in instilling noble character in students at SMPIT Iqro Nogosari, Boyolali. This study uses a type of field research and uses a descriptive qualitative approach, namely by describing the data obtained, in the process of collecting data and obtaining data accurately, the authors use several data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews and documentation, then analyzed. The data analysis technique is by reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. From the research that has been done, the authors can conclude that PAI teachers in instilling noble character in students use the methods of refraction, example, advice, stories and punishments/rewards. The factors that inhibit and support the cultivation of noble character are instinct, heredity, environment and habits.
