Abstract

The aims of this study were to: (1) describe the production behavior of farmers in tilapia cultivation in floating cages at Gajah Mungkur Wonogiri reservoir (2) describe the driving factors for the production of tilapia in floating cages at Gajah Mungkur Wonogiri reservoir (3) describe factors -Inhibiting factors in the development of tilapia cultivation in floating cages at Gajah Mungkur Wonogiri reservoir. The method used in this research is a qualitative method using a case study method. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The object of this research is the place of business for tilapia cultivation in the floating cages of the Gajah Mungkur Wonogiri reservoir. The subjects of this research are the owners of tilapia cultivation businesses, fish farmers, and local residents. Data analysis techniques using data collection, data reduction, data presentation, verification. The validity of the data using data triangulation techniques, namely source triangulation, theory triangulation. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the behavior of fish farmers in the production process already exists in accordance with the principles of production in Islamic economics, but there are still principles that have not been fully implemented, including the principles of humanity and justice and the principle of responsibility. (2) the driving factors in this tilapia cultivation business are the increasing number of market demands, business owners have a desire to continue to grow, quality fish seeds, adequate cultivation media. (3) Inhibiting factors for tilapia cultivation, namely fish control is still lacking and limited, transition season, uncertain feed prices, management management is still simple
